Job Description
Cyber Ethos is a fast growing and trusted provider of information security consulting services. We are currently recruiting sharp, smart, experienced, and motivated security professionals to join our growing Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team in Queensland, Australia with a focus on cybersecurity related standards. These include ACSC Essential 8, ISO 27K and NIST. The role involves working with Small & mid-market to enterprise level client, as well as with Australian Local, State and Federal Government.
About The Role
The role is suited for quick thinkers and sharp professionals with excellent communication skills, experienced in IT, IT Security and Risk, and looking to accelerate their career and become fully fledged consultants.

Your responsibilities as a Cybersecurity Consultant include(but not limited to):
- Lead/Deliver your engagements autonomously and ensure clients experience high professionalism, care, ownership, and punctuality.
- Manage and resolve delivery escalation whilst ensuring the best customer experience possible.
- Write and QA reports and material as required or assigned to you.
- Assist with the development of Internal and community materials and with any presales activities as required.
- Provide weekly reports to your manager on delivery activities.
- Promote Cyber Ethos in professional events and client meetings.
- Identify and drive internal improvements.
Requirements
- Qualifications in Cybersecurity or IT security from a reputable university or college
- Experience with common ICT cybersecurity principles and controls
- Excellent personal standards. You take pride in your work
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Comfortable in managing short- and long-term projects
- Comfortable engaging with both business and technology stakeholders
- Strong understanding of IT Cybersecurity and risk principles
- Proven track record or yearn to learn in cybersecurity standards such as Essential 8, ISO27001, PCI DSS, NIST etc
- Experience assessing, auditing, and writing corresponding reports
- Motivated, dynamic, hands-on, and responsible
